Steilacoom Ferry

The ferry is located in the incredibly cute town of Steilacoom. You park your car, then get out and walk down a rather steep hill to go buy your ticket. If walking is a problem you can park right by a little shop (on the right as you face the ferry) and go in and buy your tickets there. The shop was blue, I think that it advertised bait and tickets on the outside, and she charges $2 more per ticket than if you make the walk.
If you are comfortable making the walk, you will walk down the hill over the railroad tracks and into a nice waiting area. The lady that we were working with was very nice and helpful. We had two cars, and one was oversized (something we knew beforehand). She asked where the oversized vehicle was parked and had someone run over and measure it to make sure that we weren’t charged too much.
If you have senior citizens in your group bring their drivers licenses and then they won’t have to come into the station with you.
